What opportunities does cattail cultivation offer for the sustainable use of rewetted peatlands—and what is needed for it to continue developing in Germany? What lessons from Dutch peatland landscapes can be applied to cattail cultivation and the development of viable value chains in Germany—and what potential does cattail have as a substitute for peat from technical, economic, and market perspectives?
These and other questions will be the focus of the information and field day taking place on October 10 in Bad Bederkesa, which will focus on cattail cultivation and its use as a horticultural substrate. Join us for a tour of the demonstration site and take the opportunity to exchange ideas and ask questions to our experts from RoNNi and the Interreg project Paludi & Markt.
