If you aim to bring building materials made from cattail to market maturity, approval under building law is essential. However, the steps required for this are often unclear and it takes a good deal of legal understanding to find your way through the jungle of abbreviations and definitions. We would like to bring light into the dark of these subjects with the expertise of Prof. Jens-Uwe Schulz and by discussing together.

We would therefore like to invite you as colleagues from building materials research and application to a research exchange on 22 July 2025 on the topic of ‘Building with Cattail – Navigating the Path to Legal Approval’ at the Jade Hochschule in Oldenburg (room EP)!

In order to enable an intensive exchange, we would like to keep the event small and therefore ask you not to forward the date. Thank you very much!

The workshop is part of the research projects PALUDIFarming and Paludi & Bau. ‘PALUDIFarming’ is funded by Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Verbraucherschutz, ‘Paludi & Bau’ is carried out as part of the Interreg VI A programme Deutschland-Nederland. Due to the participants from both countries, the event will be held in English.
